Whole peeled tomatoes

Peeled tomatoes are a typical ingredient of Mediterranean cusine and they are a MUST for Italian and international chefs wishing to please the palate of their guests with traditional recipes.
The Apluvia Cooking tomatoes contain only the heart of the best plum tomatoes.
The full flavour and the consistency of their pulp is simply delicious and makes a tasty and creamy sauce.

The product may be directly consumed or depending on the consumer’s preferences may be used for the preparation of sauces or dressings, precooked dishes, etcetera.

Process description
When the tomatoes have been washed and peeled, they are inspected, selected, and canned. Then, sauce is added and the can is sealed by welding the lid, sterilized, cooled and dryed.
 The sauce is prepared with grinded tomatoes, from which seeds and skin are filtered away. The sauce is then heated in a low temperature and pH is adjusted with citric acid only if necessary. Lastly, it is reheated once again and poured hot into the can.

Plum tomatoes and tomato juice.

Preserving process
Pasteurized and with stabilized pH acidity through thermical processing (appertization process).

Manufacturing Process
Product made in tin band cans.

Keep at room temperature.
